Abstract

2023 was the “year of voice” in the open source home-automation world. In 2024 I took stock of the leading edge in open source voice interactions, focusing on solutions that do NOT require a cloud service.

The state of the art moves fast, this talk looks at what’s hot this year, and what voice interfaces I’ve built over the last year. Caution the words “go go gadget bodypart” may be involved.
